Chili Cookoff - Individuals, non-profit organizations and businesses are recruited to form teams. These teams will pay a small entrance fee to participate in the event. Each team will set up a stand and make chili and/or salsa to serve to attendees. In return, each team will name a local charity to which they will donate their winnings. Musical entertainment will be provided as well as food sold by various vendors. Nearby Jaycee chapters will be invited to participate in the Cookoff by providing games to be played by attendees.
Baked Potato Stand - This is what the York Jaycees are known for. The Baked Potato Stand at the annual York Fair at the York Expo Center in the beginning of September is the York Jaycees' largest fundraising event. The York Jaycees sell on-site oven-baked potatoes, unlimited toppings (choice of butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon bits and salsa), and soft drinks. Corporate sponsors are solicited to help pay for the projects raw materials and supplies.
York Hospital Picnic - The York Jaycees help to staff the carnival-like childrens' games at the York Hospital annual employee picnic.
