2002 Project for Second Quarter - Catholic Harvest Food Pantry

Each quarter the York Jaycees solicits donations for requested items and then volunteers time to a local agency.  The agency chosen for the 2nd quarter project in 2002 was The Catholic Harvest Food Pantry.  Jaycees collected ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, canned fruit, canned juice, canned beef stew, soap and toilet tissue throughout the quarter. In June York Jaycees (and some family members) volunteered during a shift to fill orders for local families and to restock shelves. Families provide information on how many children they have and the Food Pantry then provides groceries to them based on their needs.
