2003 Installation and Awards Banquet

This year's Installation and Awards (I&A) Banquet was held at The Yorktowne Hotel on Tuesday, January 7. Stan Saylor, Pennsylvania State Representative (R) 94th Legislative District, was the guest speaker. Representative Saylor spoke about the many skills that he refined by belonging to the Jaycees organization, including his talent for giving speeches and motivating a group. He stated that the most important thing he took with him from the Jaycee organization was the life-long friendships. Past presidents were given an opportunity to share a favorite memory about the York Jaycee chapter. It was quite interesting to hear about the history of the chapter and how projects got started.

The 2002 President, Liz Dellinger, presented many awards, including Board Member of the Year, Jaycee of the year, Rookie of the Year, Members of the Year, two Business Partner awards, 5+ Year of Service and 10+ Year of Service Awards. Also appreciation awards were presented to the 2002 Board. Lifetime Memberships were presented to 17 past presidents. PA State President Missy Rogers installed the 2003 Board, including York Jaycee President, Wendy Siegel.
