2003 Oyster Festival

The Oyster Festival is an annual event sponsored by the Historical Society of York County. It is their largest fundraiser. Funds raised are to be used in the general operations of the Historical Society of York County. The York Jaycees help them staff their event every October by volunteering to serve raw oysters, oyster sandwiches, oyster stew and steamed shrimp.

The 2003 Oyster Festival was held at the Gates House & Plough Tavern at 157 West Market Street in downtown York. It was a sunny, chilly day.
