1st Quarter Project: S.P.C.A.

The 1rst quarter community project of the York Jaycees is to work with the S.P.C.A. of York County, a non-profit, independent organization dedicated to the protection of animals. Visit the website of the S.P.C.A. of York County to learn more about how they help over 3,000 stray and unwanted animals each year. The Jaycees help will by collecting supplies throughout the quarter and then by volunteering at the animal shelter to deliver the collected items, organize the shed that stores food and supplies, walk the dogs and play with the cats.

Please view the S.P.C.A Wish list below for items that can be donated. Please bring these items with you to the General Meetings, or to the volunteer days at the S.P.C.A.

The dates for the 2004 Volunteer days are:

• Saturday, April 17, 2004: Doggie Egg Hunt and Spring Craft Show
  Help will be needed in setting up the event, registration and assistance during the event. The event begins at 1 pm.
   
• Sunday, April 18, 2004: Volunteer work at Shelter
  Hands-on help is needed by walking the dogs and playing with the cats.
  For those wanting to help, but not directly with the animals, there will be light housekeeping work to do. Shelter hours are 10 am to 4 pm.
