The Tom Glock Memorial Scholarship Fund

The York Jaycees annually offer the Tom Glock Memorial Scholarship. This fund was set up in memorial of Tom Glock, a loyal Jaycees member and active community volunteer, who passed away on April 13, 2001. Tom attended both Bradley Academy and York Technical Institute before he passed away, thus we are proud to help a local student with their educational needs in memory of Tom. We are happy to offer this scholarship to both traditional (out of high school) and non-traditional students.

In 2005, the Scholarship offering was $1000 to be used for educational purposes by a student who will carry at least 6 credit hours the period (semester, quarter, etc…) that the money is used. The scholarship is offered to a York county resident attending or planning to attend Penn State York, York College of Pennsylvania, Bradley Academy, or the York Technical Institute.

The application process for this scholarship normally takes place in early Spring, and the selected applicant is awarded the check at a monthly meeting of the York Jaycees. The recipient must be present to accept his or her award.
