The York Jaycees participate in a variety of different projects. The projects fall into five main areas.

Management Development - The primary focus of this area is fund raising. Members can gain practical experience with leadership, project management, teamwork, communication, working in committees, marketing, materials procurement, staffing and financial budgeting.

Community Development - The primary focus of this area is to provide staffing services or financial contributions to York non-profit agencies. By participating in these events, members will have the opportunity to learn leadership and team building skills.

Chapter and Individual Development - The primary focus of this area is to develop the York Jaycees members by providing presentations by quality speakers who discuss issues of interest to the membership, offering workshops that enrich the personal development of the members and holding social events for team and relationship building.

Membership Development - The primary focus of this area is to recruit, retain and recognize members.

State Development - The primary focus of this area is to work with other Jaycee chapters towards a common goal -- the Total Jaycee Concept. The State Director acts as a liaison with district, regional, state, national and international officers and promotes projects sponsored by them.
